Walking & Cycling
Doncaster Lakeside provides beautiful vistas for those who enjoy their walks and rides. Whilst not strictly cycle friendly on account of the footpath width in certain areas this does not deter the bolder biker. There are video uploads YouTube taken by some who clearly wish to share their experiences. Why not take a virtual walk around the environs and see what you may be missing?

Lakeside circuit on a bike by Danum Photography
Described as 'a complete circuit of the lakeside at Doncaster South Yorkshire. Filmed during the heat wave of September 2011 by a cyclist. The camcorder is fixed to the rear of the bike and the film is show twice cycling speed. Views include the lake, people, ducks, swans, geese, sunbathers, men, women and children, dogs, bikes and a new Travelodge.' Interesting for the views before the housing on the Marina was built.
Andrea goes on a bike ride and run...
March 2017 Andrea leaves on her bike for Lakeside. Travelling by the Deaf School and Racecourse she heads past the Dome down Lakeside Boulevard. Parks up by the fountain before heading on a full circuit run around the lake. The houses on the Marina are now on sale it seems. At the end we are taken up into the Asda for shopping then down towards Town by the Salutation Inn before arrival at home and an earned rest. Well done Andrea.

It's Sept 2016 and Daniel Willcock is on a sponsored walk. This part shows an anticlockwise route from the Keepmoat Offices and goes as far as the Marina.

This continues Daniel's walk from Part 1 as far as where the Marina ends. There does not appear to be a part 3 so I guess Daniel's sponsorship monies remain unclaimed...
